The Sisters of Mercy began their mission in the River Valley in 1853, offering compassionate care to the sick and nursing soldiers during the Civil War. Their legacy includes the establishment of hospitals such as the 30-bed St. Edward Infirmary, a cornerstone of early healthcare in the region.
Mercy Hospital in Ozark, Arkansas traces its roots to the original facility built in 1952. Following a major $5.13 million expansion and renovation, Mercy reopened the hospital in 2020, continuing its tradition of service with enhanced capabilities and modernized care.
- Swing Bed Program: Sometimes patients need additional care and recovery time before leaving the hospital and returning home. Mercy's swing bed program meets the needs of anyone recovering from surgery or illness who could benefit from extra attention. Our program offers a variety of medical services, such as various therapies, IV treatments and wound care to help people on their road to recovery.
