Mercy Hospital Jefferson offers intensive day treatment programs for patients suffering from mental health and substance use disorders. This is an intermediate level of care designed to alleviate symptoms of mental illness, promote recovery and restore the patient’s ability to function.
Our program can serve as an alternative to inpatient care for some patients, or as a step-down from an inpatient psychiatric hospitalization. Our services are offered during the week, Monday - Friday.

Our adolescent program includes group and individual therapy for children ages 12-17. Our providers work with the child, their parents or guardians, school and other applicable agencies to develop treatment goals. The program addresses mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, stress, anger low self-esteem, conflict, academic difficulties, self-injurious behavior and more.
All patients receive 20-25 hours of intensive therapy each week during the day. The length of the treatment is determined by each child’s need.
