Mercy Medical Library Services - Springfield

Mercy – Springfield provides two distinct libraries to service the community. Staffed by professional medical librarians, a wide variety of health information resources and library services is available from each location.

Contact a medical librarian to request research assistance, request a literature search, obtain an article, or obtain access to research databases. Computers with Internet access are available at both library locations.

  • Van K. Smith Community Health Library– located in C.H. Chub O’Reilly Cancer Center, Cancer Resource Center, 2055 South Fremont Avenue
    Serves patients, family members, and members of the community in southwest Missouri and northwest Arkansas. The library’s services and resources are directed toward the health consumer and general public to enable them to make informed health decisions and become active participants in their health care and total well being.   • Medical Library– located in Mercy Hospital
    Serves Mercy affiliated physicians and coworkers. The Medical Library’s services and resources are directed primarily towards health care professionals to enable them to provide excellent patient care and to support their continuing education needs. Individuals not directly affiliated with Mercy should contact a medical librarian to discuss their information needs. Telephone 417-820-2795. Fax 417-820-5399. Email libstaffatmercy.net.
