Mercy Hospital Springfield is accredited as a Primary Stroke Center by the Joint Commission, is designated as a Level 2 Stroke Center by Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services and has been awarded Stroke Certification by the American Stroke Association.
Mercy Hospital Springfield’s Emergency Department has the area’s highest designation for emergency/trauma care and the region’s only Burn Unit. Mercy Life Line operates five air ambulance helicopters covering more than 6,800 square miles across 14 counties.
Our new Pediatric Emergency Department provides complete pediatric emergency care 24 hours a day, every day. A new dedicated drop-off route and entrance, as well as new pediatric reception, triage and waiting areas, provide faster access to care and a safe space to protect children from situations in the adult ER that might seem frightening.
