Acute Rehabilitation Unit - Mercy Hospital Jefferson
Mercy Rehabilitation Services – Jefferson is located at Mercy Hospital Jefferson and provides inpatient rehabilitation services for those recovering from strokes, brain or spinal-cord injuries, amputations, multiple trauma, cancer, bariatric conditions, complex orthopedic injuries and other conditions.
Mercy Rehabilitation incorporates many unique features, including:

The greatest feature of Mercy’s Rehabilitation Services is our team of dedicated doctors and nurses. Our rehab professionals provide the exceptional patient care for which Mercy is known, with an emphasis on improving individual functional ability and quality of life.
Our complete treatment approach addresses the whole patient – physically, emotionally and spiritually. We evaluate each patient, focusing on movement patterns, strength, flexibility, functional ability, balance and tone. Therapists work closely with physicians, specialists and family members to treat patients as they progress toward their goals.
Admission Process
Referrals to Mercy Rehabilitation Services - Jefferson can be made by contacting the Admissions coordinator at 636.933.1595. Family members and other interested individuals are encouraged to tour our facilities.
A clinical nurse liaison will complete an on-site evaluation to determine medical stability and appropriateness for admission. Admission will be coordinated with the referral source, the insurance company, the patient’s physician and the discharge planner.
Visiting Hours
We encourage families to visit between the hours of 7 a.m. and 9 p.m., but we are open 24 hours with unrestricted access.
Visitors of all ages are welcome and we encourage family participation in the rehabilitation program. Observation of therapy is encouraged.
Caregiver Support
We allow one support person to stay the night on our in-room sleeper sofa. We ask that the support person only assist in the care and have the capacity to be trained to support their loved one.
