Pediatric Emergency Medicine

Service Line

When your child has an accident or suddenly becomes ill, your only concern is finding immediate access to the best care available. At Mercy Kids, our emergency medicine teams are here for you 24 hours a day, seven days a week, every day of the year. Our Emergency Departments (EDs) are staffed by emergency medicine physicians with experience in emergency care for infants and children. Dedicated ED nurses care for every young patient who comes in for treatment.

If your child needs immediate medical attention and you cannot quickly and safely bring your child to the Emergency Department, please call 911 immediately.

  • Respiratory infections, including pneumonia and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV)
  • Asthma and breathing problems
  • Fever
  • Ear infections
  • Vomiting illnesses
  • Cuts and lacerations
  • Burns
  • Sprains and strains
  • Broken bones
