75 Days Post Surgery - When You Find Your "Go-To"

Eating after bariatric surgery can be monotonous, especially when you find specific foods or food combinations that are easy on your tiny stomach. It can be extremely easy to fall into a food “rut” and not experiment with different foods for fear of painful consequences.

My “go-to” foods nearly three months out from surgery are my homemade lean chili and pasta-free lasagna. Both are great, but my subconscious keeps reminding me that I need green vegetables, or really, any color vegetables! 

I keep remembering the “salad incident” as it is referred to now, and it’s really hard to work up the courage to try new things. However, living in fear is no way to live… I’m off to nibble on some carrots and light ranch dressing—I’ll keep you posted.
