We first met Clark Curry last August, when he began the long road to recovery after being one of the unlucky many to contract West Nile virus in the summer of 2012. That summer, Oklahoma saw a record number of West Nile cases.
Throughout his 28-day hospital stay and beyond, Curry's attitude inspired fellow patients, Mercy co-workers and the general public, as he smiled through grueling rehabilitation and his eventual first steps - six months after the deadly virus paralyzed him.
This week, we checked in with Clark to see how things are going a year later. Here's his story.
