EL RENO, Okla. (Feb. 20, 2014) – Heather Stanley, APRN-CNP, now hangs her lab coat on the door of Mercy Clinic Primary Care El Reno. She joins established provider Robert DiCintio, PA-C, in practice.
Stanley is a family nurse practitioner who will care for patients of all ages. She graduated from The University of Oklahoma with a Master’s of Science in Nursing and is a member of the Oklahoma Nurse Practitioners and the American College of Nurse Practitioners.
Stanley spent much of her childhood in the hospital, suffering from severe asthma. The personalized care she received inspired her to choose a career in health care.
“The doctors and nurses made a big impact on me,” said Stanley. “They could turn a bad day into a good day with a smile or a funny story. I hope to do that for my patients.”
Her goal is to build trust and develop lasting relationships with her patients.
“I want them to feel comfortable telling me anything, whether it’s about health, work or family life,” said Stanley. “Having a personal relationship with my patient is not just about treating one illness at a time. It’s about treating my patient as a whole person.”
Stanley and her husband live in Yukon with their young son. They attend church and are both active in medical organizations. They enjoy attending college football games in the fall and spending a lot of time with their large extended family.
