ST. LOUIS - Karen Lohrman and her sister, Megan King, had due dates only five days apart, but never expected to welcome their babies on the same day. Yet, that's exactly what happened.

Karen arrived at the hospital late on Feb. 1. After 28 hours of labor, she welcomed her baby boy Meyer at 12:03 a.m., on Feb. 3.

Megan, who has an almost 2-year-old little girl, Delaney, said Karen wanted the honor of having the first boy in the family.

"I wanted to let her have it," Megan joked. "When I got the call at midnight that she had him, I think my body knew I could let go."

Megan started having contractions about 4 a.m. and four and half hours later she was holding baby Everett.

"We don't have any cousins," Karen said, "So we're excited for our babies who will have lots of cousins."
