It’s a Family Ordeal

February 15, 2016

When it comes to living a heart-healthy lifestyle, it doesn’t revolve around just one person in the family; success requires everyone be on board.

Is it time for a change in your household?

If so, let numbers work in your favor. Bring your spouse and kids to “It’s a Family Ordeal” on Friday, Feb. 26 from 6- 7 p.m. at Mercy Clinic Family Medicine – Linn County located at 11155 Tucker Road in Pleasanton.

Kristyn Milburn, Mercy Nurse Practitioner, will offer a family-oriented education session focused on treating your heart right. She’ll offer tips for supporting each other in eating right, exercising, and finding a healthy balance so your family will stay strong and active for many years ahead.

“When a family uses a ‘teamwork approach’ to getting healthy, great things can happen,” said Milburn. “If you set goals with your family to embrace a healthy mindset, the entire group can help hold each other accountable…plus it can be fun and have tremendous rewards.”

The session is free and everyone is invited to attend. No pre-registration is required. For more information, call Mercy Clinic Family Medicine – Linn County at 913-352-8379.
