Mercy’s Cancer Care Team will host a free Cancer Survivor Picnic Lunch on Thursday, June 2 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the Healing Garden at Mercy Joplin Cancer Center.
“At Mercy, we understand that each day is a gift and worthy of celebration,” said Whit Sanders, executive director of cancer services. “This picnic celebrates the journey, public and private of every cancer survivor and their caregivers.”
The picnic is sponsored by the Mercy Health Foundation and Mercy Hospital Joplin and the menu will include hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, water and cake.
All cancer survivors and their families are invited to attend the celebration. Pre-registration is required by calling Laurie Snow, Mercy Cancer Center scheduler, at 417-556-4462.
