Ceballos recently joined Mercy Hospital Joplin as a radiologist. He is excited to work for a faith-based health care organization with a strong mission.
“The ultimate goal of medicine is to comfort the patient,” he said. “It’s well known that physical health and healing are greatly affected by spiritual health, and God is the ultimate source of all healing.”
When caring for patients, Ceballos believes in open communication and trust.
“I like for my patients to be fully informed, have their questions answered and participate in their care,” he said. “Relieving anxiety and having the bond of trust are very gratifying to me as a physician.”
Ceballos earned his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor. He completed his residencies in general surgery and general radiology from the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas, and completed his fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology from the University of Florida in Gainesville.
He recently moved to the Joplin area from Gainesville with his wife, Dailene. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, biking and running. He has been on several medical mission trips around the world and was a founding board of directors member for a medical clinic for the poor in Gainesville.
