PAULS VALLEY, OKLA. - Charles Mitchell, DO, and Mercy are teaming up to provide more health care resources for the Pauls Valley and Garvin County community.
Beginning today, Dr. Mitchell’s clinic will become Mercy Clinic Primary Care and General Surgery - Pauls Valley, and he will continue providing primary care and general surgery care to his neighbors, just as he has for 32 years.
“Joining Mercy gives my patients greater access to a large network of care,” Dr. Mitchell said. “It’s great to partner with an organization that can help support doctors and their patients with the latest technology and a wide range of health care services and specialists.”
Although the clinic has been renamed, it will remain in the same location. Dr. Mitchell’s team will provide a unique blend of care for patients, including primary care services and surgical procedures.
Some examples of primary care services include flu shots and immunizations, school and sports physicals, bone density screening and women’s health.
Some examples of surgical procedures include colonoscopy and endoscopy, hernia repair, skin cancer treatments, minor surgeries for adults and children and gallbladder and breast surgery.
Dr. Mitchell’s patients will also be able to access Mercy’s electronic health record and other tools that give them easier access to health care.
“We are thrilled that Dr. Mitchell is partnering with Mercy, so we can continue caring for his patients and the community together,” said Becky Payton, Mercy Oklahoma’s chief operating officer. “Mercy’s commitment to caring for Oklahoma goes back more than a century and we’re honored to grow our services in the Pauls Valley community.”
