LONE GROVE, Okla. – Mercy opened a new primary care clinic at 16370 US 70 in Lone Grove, Oklahoma. Nurse practitioner and local resident Lisa Burton will lead the team and allow patients to meet their primary care needs close to home.
“Lone Grove is my hometown. I actually grew up less than a mile away from this clinic,” Burton said. “I’ve always wanted to work in health care and chose to return and practice in Lone Grove because it allowed me to give back to a community that has played such a large role in my life.”
The clinic serves patients of all ages and offers both in-person and virtual visit options. Patients can also schedule with Burton online.
“My goal with patients is to give them peace of mind about their health,” Burton said. “I like to focus on prevention with my patients. For example, cardiac health starts with eating healthy, doing annual checkups and taking care of your body. Even when you are healthy, preventative testing can catch signs of disease that will greatly improve your health outcome if caught early enough.”
Burton has worked with Mercy for over 27 years. She received a master’s degree from Walden University College of Nursing in Baltimore, Maryland, specializing in family and emergency medicine.
