Three Mercy hospitals from Oklahoma were recognized as top 20 critical access hospitals in the U.S. for the high-quality care provided to patients. This is the fourth year Mercy Hospital Tishomingo received this recognition. Best Practice in Quality award recipients were judged based on quality outcomes like infection prevention protocols, ER wait times, time to medical interventions, readmission rates and more.

“We’re so proud of our care team who earned this national award again because it’s a direct reflection of the kind of care our physicians and co-workers provide to our community every day,” said Lori McMillin, administrator of Mercy Hospital Tishomingo.

Now in its thirteenth year, the Chartis rural hospital performance index studied how rural health care providers performed compared to the 2,200 other critical access and rural hospitals in America.
