Mercy is welcoming a new member to its leadership team in Southeast Missouri. Bradley Harmon joined Mercy this month as the executive director of mission for Mercy Southeast in Cape Girardeau and Mercy Stoddard in Dexter, Missouri.
A native of Imperial, Missouri, where he grew up floating the rivers, Harmon said he’s excited to return to Southeast Missouri and help elevate Mercy’s mission and grow the supportive, healing culture among Mercy caregivers.

“I’m looking forward to joining a health care team who finds purpose and meaning in what they do,” Harmon said. “I was always open to the possibility of returning to Missouri but never had much interest in the urban areas. The idea of being close to family and living in beautiful Southeast Missouri is what drew me to Mercy Southeast. In all the years I lived outside Missouri, my memories and happy place always were the forests, streams and hills of the Ozarks and St. Francois Mountains.”
Harmon earned his bachelor’s degree from Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri, and a Master of Divinity from the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Indiana. He most recently served as the vice president of mission integration at CHRISTUS Health in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Harmon is married to his wife, Stephanie. Together, they have four grown sons. He said he’s looking forward to spending quality time on the Current River and learning more about the rivers in Southeast Missouri, gardening and finding good hiking trails.
