New and established patients can receive their gastroenterology and surgical care closer to home with Mercy’s newest clinics in Poplar Bluff.
Mercy Clinic Gastroenterology – Poplar Bluff, 2002 Kanell Boulevard, Suite 203, Poplar Bluff, will be led by Andrew Garner, nurse practitioner, and Mimi Kingery, physician assistant. Both will provide a full range of care to diagnose and treat digestive health disorders such as ulcers, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), Crohn’s disease, celiac disease and other GI conditions.
“It’s exciting to begin seeing patients and bring Mercy’s high-quality, low-cost care to Poplar Bluff,” Kingery said. “We’ve seen more and more patients from this area traveling to our clinics in Cape Girardeau and Dexter. Now we can meet these patients and get them the care they need right here at home.”
Garner and Kingery will see patients at the Poplar Bluff clinic on two Mondays each month.
Also opening in the same location is Mercy Clinic General Surgery – Poplar Bluff, led by surgeon and Southeast Missouri native, Dr. Major Burger. At the new location, he will see patients for surgical consultations, post-op visits and follow-up care.
“Our goal has always been to see patients deeper into Southeast Missouri. Poplar Bluff is a perfect community to further that vision,” Dr. Burger said. “This fall, we proudly expanded our clinic to Dexter, and now with our clinic open in Poplar Bluff, patients can stay even closer to home while still receiving the same exceptional surgical care they’ve come to trust.”
Dr. Burger will see patients at the Poplar Bluff clinic on two Wednesdays each month.
