Dr. Abdul-Nasser Adjei, interventional cardiologist, will soon join Mercy Clinic Cardiology – Tower West in Fort Smith. With more than two decades of experience living and practicing in the Fort Smith area, Dr. Adjei is proud to continue serving the community he calls home.
Dr. Adjei’s career is focused on delivering compassionate, patient‑centered cardiovascular care. His interest in cardiology began during his medical training, drawn by the field’s dynamic and intellectually challenging nature. Over time, direct patient care deepened that interest into a lasting commitment.
“As I entered practice, I developed a deeper appreciation of the profound impact cardiovascular disease has on patients’ lives,” Dr. Adjei said. “This realization strengthened my commitment to the specialty. I genuinely love the practice of cardiology, and given the choice, I would pursue this path again without hesitation.”
A longtime member of the River Valley community, Dr. Adjei credits his family as a constant source of support throughout his career. He and his wife, Memuna, along with their children, Melda and Nasser Jr., have remained deeply rooted in the Fort Smith area.
Amy Fore, vice president of patient services at Mercy Fort Smith, said Dr. Adjei’s addition strengthens cardiovascular care at Mercy. “Dr. Adjei brings exceptional skill, experience and a deep commitment to compassionate care,” Fore said. “His deep ties to the River Valley and dedication to putting patients first align seamlessly with Mercy’s mission and values.”
Dr. Adjei said he is eager to help advance Mercy’s goal of delivering compassionate, high‑quality care.
“I look forward to contributing meaningfully to Mercy’s mission,” he said. “I hope to serve not only as a physician, but also as an ambassador of its ministry, advancing both clinical excellence and patient‑centered care.”
