ARDMORE, Okla. — Patients in Southern Oklahoma now have expanded access to specialized care for diabetes, thyroid conditions and other hormone-related disorders with the opening of endocrinologist Dr. Elizabeth Omoniyi’s new clinic in Ardmore.
Dr. Omoniyi is accepting new patients at Mercy Clinic Endocrinology – Ardmore NW Boulevard, located at 1006 Northwest Blvd. She specializes in diagnosing and treating disorders affecting the endocrine system, including the thyroid, pituitary, adrenal and parathyroid glands, as well as conditions related to the pancreas, ovaries and testes.
“I went into this field of medicine because I enjoy enacting change by building long-term relationships with patients and collaborating with other specialists to develop the best care strategy for my patients,” said Dr. Omoniyi. “I want my patients to know that when they come to see me, they are an integral part of the decision-making process, and my treatment plans are individually tailored for each of them.”
About Dr. Omoniyi
Dr. Omoniyi earned her medical degree in the United Kingdom at St. George’s University of London. She completed a fellowship in endocrinology at Houston Methodist Hospital in Texas, and her residency in internal medicine at Mount Sinai Morningside in New York. She’s board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine/Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism.
Dr. Omoniyi is passionate about getting to the root causes of endocrine disorders and developing treatment plans that help patients improve their quality of life. Her clinical interests include endocrine bone disorders, adrenal disease and thyroid diseases.
“Endocrinology is a specialty that allows me to go back to the basics to figure out root causes and use this to make effective decisions about therapy plans,” she said.
