Respiratory Conditions

Service Line

If you have a condition that makes it difficult to breathe easily, Mercy can help. We can provide treatments that will minimize your symptoms and improve your quality of life.

Pulmonary Medicine

Our pulmonologists are experienced in diagnosing and treating breathing disorders, from asthma to lung cancer to sleep disorders. You may see a pulmonologist, a physician specially trained in the care of diseases and conditions of the chest and lungs. Your pulmonologist will work with you to measure your lung function, make an accurate diagnosis and determine the respiratory treatment that’s right for you.

At Mercy, we treat all kinds of pulmonary conditions, from common disorders to the more rare and complex diseases of the lungs.

Additional respiratory conditions Mercy treats include:

  • COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) – a lung disease leading to shortness of breath due to blockage of the lung’s airways, air sacs, or both.
  • Pneumonia – a lung infection in which the air sacs fill with fluid.
  • Obstructive sleep apnea – intermittent airflow blockage during sleep.

We are also sensitive to the fear and anxiety that can come with breathing problems. When you come to Mercy, you will receive compassionate, supportive care to improve your breathing and help you get back to living life to its fullest.
