ARDMORE, Okla. – Mercy Hospital Ardmore earned a prestigious 4-star rating from the federal government’s Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), solidifying its status as Ardmore’s top destination for high-quality patient care at a low cost.
The CMS rating is based on over 100 data points that evaluate hospital performance in mortality, safety of care, readmission, patient experience and timeliness and effectiveness of care.
“This is the seventh straight year we’ve earned the 4-star CMS rating. It’s proof we’ve established the high level of care our patients deserve, and we know how to sustain it,” said Mercy Hospital Ardmore President Daryle Voss. “Our providers and co-workers come through the door every day knowing what it takes to maintain the high standards patients have come to expect from Mercy.”
Nationally, only one in four hospitals earns at least a 4-star CMS rating.
CMS is a federal agency that works in partnership with the health care community to improve quality, equity and outcomes.
“I’m proud of every co-worker in our hospital for what they’ve done to help us achieve such a high rating for Ardmore patients,” said Dr. Vishal Patel, Mercy Ardmore Hospital’s chief medical officer. “But at the same time, I’m not surprised – we’ve got a special group of people here who put our patients first, and a great CMS rating proves it.”
