
ADA, Okla. — Local access to medical care continues to expand with two new providers now seeing patients at Mercy Clinic Primary Care - Ada.
Dr. Anthony Waldroup and Jennifer Bell, a certified nurse practitioner, are family medicine specialists who treat all age groups. There are now seven primary care providers at the clinic at 530 N. Monte Vista St., Suite A.
Primary medical services for everyone including children and seniors are available from Bell, Dr. Waldroup and other providers at the clinic. They offer services including annual wellness exams, vaccinations, preventive screenings, lab services, minor surgeries, school and sports physicals, and more.

About Dr. Waldroup

Dr. Waldroup is a military veteran, serving 20 years as an Air Force flight surgeon after previously serving 10 years in the same role in the National Guard. He was also in private practice from 1997 to 2001.
“It’s an honor to step out of my military career and back into private practice at a place like Mercy, which has such an emphasis on compassionate care for our patients,” said Dr. Waldroup. “I’m excited to come back to Oklahoma, where I came into my own as a medical student and really started to learn the ropes. It will be fulfilling to bring all the experience I’ve gained since then to Ada to benefit patients here.”
Dr. Waldroup earned Bachelor of Science degrees in medical biology and chemistry from Southeastern Oklahoma State University, a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center Houston and a medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. He completed residencies at OU and the U.S. Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine in Ohio.
He’s board certified in family medicine and preventative medicine.
About Bell

Bell is stepping into a new role as a certified nurse practitioner, serving until recently as a Mercy charge nurse. She previously served as a case manager for the Choctaw Nation in Durant.
“I’m so excited to serve patients in an expanded role, where I can put my experience and education to their highest use,” said Bell, a longtime Oklahoman. “I’ve lived so much of my life in Southern Oklahoma, and it means so much to serve alongside so many talented caregivers working with our neighbors here in Ada.”
Bell became a licensed professional nurse in 2002, studying at Ardmore’s Southern Oklahoma Technical School. She earned an Associate in Science degree in nursing from Murray State College in Tishomingo, a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Oklahoma Wesleyan University in Bartlesville and a Master of Science degree as a family nurse practitioner from Purdue University Global in Indiana.
She’s board certified as a family nurse practitioner.
