Mercy Arkansas Communities Welcome New Vice President of Mission

March 30, 2026

Becky Prado has joined Mercy as the new vice president of mission for Mercy Arkansas Communities. Becky has an extensive background in education and health care, and she has most recently been serving as the regional coordinator of mission and ethics for BayCare Health System in Florida. She has a master’s degree in health care mission leadership.

Becky will be working closely with the Arkansas leadership team to help foster a deep sense of mission integration while continuing our Catholic, faith-based culture and values as we care for our community.

She shared, “Mercy’s mission to bring hope, healing and dignity to every person is their legacy, and we are called to be part of that story, living it faithfully every day. Each of us is a vital thread in this mission, contributing to the DNA that makes Mercy unique.”

Becky is looking forward to relocating to Fort Smith. She has a close, faith-filled family that she enjoys traveling and exploring with. She also enjoys exploring her artistic side with hands-on, creative projects. Lastly, she loves country music and knows she will be right at home in the area.

Mercy will look to Becky to help to inspire us while also keeping caregivers deeply rooted in Mercy's healing ministry and following in the footsteps of the Sisters of Mercy.
