Cardiopulmonary Rehab Close to Home
If you have a history or risk of heart or lung disease, cardiopulmonary rehab can help you lead a more active life. Our medically supervised cardiac and pulmonary rehab programs are tailored to your specific needs. Specially trained nurses, exercise physiologists and other professionals support you every step of the way.
Our rehab gym features heart-strengthening machines and the latest resistance-training equipment. It’s located inside the hospital, so advanced care is always nearby.
Cardiac rehab may be right for you if you’ve had the following symptoms, conditions or procedures:

Mercy's cardiac rehab program has three phases:
- Phase I – Inpatient education and exercise therapy to restore your strength
- Phase II – Outpatient rehab in a three-month program that includes heart monitoring, education and exercise therapy to increase your activity level
- Phase III – A maintenance phase that helps you maintain your exercise program and develop lifelong health habits
Cardiac rehab services require a doctor’s referral, and your therapy team must follow your doctor’s orders. If you have cardiac risk factors but no history of heart disease, you may go directly into phase III.
