Mercy Hospital South St. Louis

Mercy Hospital South has been a healing presence in the South St. Louis County area for more than 140 years. Today, we continue providing compassionate medical and specialty care on our South County campus, just west of I-270 on Tesson Ferry Road.

We care for patients from St. Louis City and St. Louis, Jefferson, Franklin, Saint Francois and Sainte Genevieve counties in Missouri; and Monroe, Randolph and St. Clair counties in Illinois.

Mercy Hospital South provides all-private rooms and nationally recognized care.

Emergency & Trauma Care

Mercy Hospital South’s Emergency Department is staffed and equipped to handle emergencies of any level of severity and is the only Level II Trauma Center in South County.

Mercy Kids ER at Mercy Hospital South

Children receive expert, compassionate care for unexpected illnesses and injuries at Mercy’s South County St. Louis children’s ER. Staffed by a Mercy Kids pediatrician and pediatric trained nurses, our children’s emergency room features a separate waiting and triage area and six treatment rooms with child-friendly décor.

Heart Care

Mercy Hospital South was one of the first hospitals certified by the state of Missouri as a Level One STEMI (ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction) Center, the highest level of cardiac care available. In addition to the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Advanced Certification in Heart Failure, Mercy Hospital South has been awarded American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines-Heart Failure Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award. 

Stroke Care

Every minute matters when it comes to stroke. Mercy Hospital South is designated as a Level 1 Stroke Center and provides 24/7 access to life-saving neurological care, with the expertise and technological resources to quickly diagnose and treat any type of stroke within one hour of arrival.
