Mercy South Adds Endocrinology Clinic

Mercy is expanding its team to meet the needs of south St. Louis County with the addition of a new endocrinology clinic and Dr. Fadi Siyam.

“Meeting the needs of this community is exactly why I joined the Mercy South team. I want to provide care for patients who need it close to their homes,” Dr. Siyam said. “I’m a proud St. Louisan. I’m excited about joining a Mercy team well known for its excellent service to the community and for its inclusive medical society.”

Endocrinology deals with the function and diseases of the glands and hormones. It includes the health of the pancreas (including diabetes), thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal and pituitary glands. 

“While small in physical size, the endocrine system can have an enormous impact on everyday life and our wellbeing. Any imbalance in this system can cause dysfunction and dismay for our patients.” Dr. Siyam said.

Dr. Siyam comes from a family of pharmacists, so a career in medicine came naturally to him. His love for medicine and the human body in high school leading him to become a physician.

“I was drawn to the elegance of the endocrine system and the impact it has on all of us,” Dr. Siyam said. “Seeing how I can treat the various endocrine disorders to help my patients improve their health and their lives is why I love what I do.”

Dr. Siyam is seeing patients at Mercy Clinic Endocrinology – Southfork Suite 205, located in the Medical Plaza building across Schuessler Road from Mercy Hospital South.
