Newsweek’s just-released annual list of America’s Best Maternity Hospitals includes Mercy Hospital Northwest Arkansas and five other Mercy birth centers across three states.
“Caring for women and children has been part of Mercy’s mission since our founding,” said Whitney Tolbert, vice president of women and children’s services at Mercy. “From pregnancy through birth and beyond, we are committed to surrounding families with compassionate, high‑quality care that supports informed choices and excellent outcomes. Our goal is simple: healthy moms, healthy babies and families who feel supported every step of the way.”
Newsweek used three data points to compile its list of top maternity hospitals this year: hospital quality metrics, patient experience and reputation score
The data is pulled from public sources and recommendations from leading health care professionals in maternity care, including neonatal and perinatal physicians, nurses and midwives.
After crunching the numbers, four Mercy hospitals in Missouri made the list (Jefferson, Southeast, Springfield and St. Louis) as well as Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City.
