Mercy cancer patients are at the center of a collaborative, multispecialty team of cancer experts who develop coordinated treatment plans.

  • Nurse Navigators -  the oncology nurse navigation program at the Pratt Center offers personalized support to cancer patients and their families every step of the way and is available at no cost.
  • Integrative Cancer Therapies - integrative cancer treatments promote healing and well-being with services such as acupuncture, massage and healing touch.
  • Cancer Rehabilitation - the cancer rehab program at the Pratt Center helps patients heal by improving their physical, emotional and spiritual outlook, and return to normal function again. 

Fully Accredited Cancer Center

Mercy’s fully accredited cancer program at the David C. Pratt Center in St. Louis holds a number of accreditations and quality awards:

  • The Pratt Center was given a 3-year accreditation from the Comprehensive Community Cancer Program with commendations from the Commission on Cancer (a distinction that is given to fewer than 20% of all cancer programs in the country.)
  • Accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer since 1984 as well as by The Joint Commission. 
  • A 3-year term of accreditation in breast ultrasound from the American College of Radiology (ACR). The ACR gold seal of accreditation represents the highest level of image quality and patient safety and is awarded only after peer evaluation by board-certified physicians and medical physicists.
  • Named a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence (BICOE). The BICOE designation is awarded to breast imaging centers that achieve excellence by seeking and earning accreditation in all the ACR’s voluntary breast-imaging accreditation programs and modules in addition to the mandatory Mammography Accreditation Program.
  • 2020 winner of the Association of Community Cancer Centers Innovator Award for our QI initiative effort Reducing Readmissions After Chemotherapy.
