ARDMORE, Okla. – Ardmore’s Daryle Voss is one of four Mercy hospital leaders named to a prestigious annual list of rural healthcare executives to know.
Voss, president of Mercy Hospital Ardmore, is on Becker’s Hospital Review’s list of 146 rural hospital and health system presidents and CEOs to know for 2026.
Becker’s, a leading healthcare industry publication, makes the list to recognize leaders who understand the importance of quality healthcare services in rural communities that drive better patient outcomes and experiences.
“Rural hospitals are so much more than places of healing. They’re community cornerstones and sources of civic pride,” said Dr. John Mohart, Mercy executive vice president and chief operating officer. “Daryle is someone you’re proud to have not only as a leader in your hometown, but also as a neighbor and friend.”
One other Mercy leader from Oklahoma made the list: Bobby Stitt, chief administrative officer of Mercy Hospital Ada. Stitt and Voss were joined on the list by Missouri administrators Chris Wibbenmeyer of Mercy Hospital Perry and Sue Ann Williams of Mercy Hospital Stoddard.
About Voss
Voss oversees Mercy’s hospital and clinics in the Ardmore area. He also responsible for overall oversight of Mercy Hospital Ada and Mercy’s critical access hospitals in Healdton, Love County and Tishomingo.
Becker’s highlighted Voss’ leadership in garnering repeated Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Studies (CMS) 4-star ratings and top Leapfrog safety ratings for Southern Oklahoma hospitals. He has served a long career in Oklahoma healthcare and started with Mercy in 2013.
The Mercy hospitals in his purview have achieved national recognition for quality of patient care and top safety scores. In the last year, Mercy Hospital Ardmore was named to the Forbes list of America’s Top Hospitals and the Chartis Center for Rural Health’s list of 100 top performing rural hospitals. It also recently received another “A” grade for patient safety from The Leapfrog Group.
“It’s a privilege to represent Ardmore and Mercy on this list, because I know how hard my fellow caregivers work to be there for our patients every day. In my mind, this really is well-deserved recognition for our entire team,” said Voss. “Rural health care is a special calling, and Mercy is so proud to serve our neighbors throughout southern Oklahoma.”
