November 15, 2024

ADA, Okla. — Mercy’s southern Oklahoma facilities are operating under a new model, with a native Oklahoman named to lead plans to maintain and expand services throughout the southern portion of Mercy’s Oklahoma region.

In the newly created position of president of Mercy Southern Oklahoma Communities, Daryle Voss takes charge of Mercy’s hospitals and clinics in Ada and Tishomingo in addition to facilities he already leads in Ardmore, Healdton and Love County.

"It’s humbling and an honor to be entrusted with responsibility for patients and caregivers in an area I care deeply about. We’re going to grow as southern Oklahoma grows,” said Voss. “It’s home to me and all the Mercy caregivers who serve our neighbors here. We’re proud to continue the legacy of compassionate care that Mercy is so well known for in our state.”

Voss has been with Mercy since 2013 and has more than 20 years of health care experience, serving in operational roles in rural health facilities and acute care hospitals.

Dr. John Mohart, Mercy’s president of community operations, said the operating model strengthens the commitment to maintain and grow critical services in all communities Mercy serves. It allows a more tightly coordinated system of care with collective problem-solving. Mercy is excited about the potential for expansion of care in the Ada and Ardmore communities. There is deep opportunity in both communities to bring new services and value to patients.

“Daryle is exceptionally qualified to assume increased leadership responsibility within the Ada and Ardmore communities,” said Mohart. “He’s known as a collaborative and engaging leader who challenges his teams to deliver the best outcomes and experience for patients. We look forward to him spending more time in Ada and Tishomingo, bringing new ideas and opportunities to these Mercy communities”

Voss, a Perry native, is an American College of Healthcare Executives fellow and an American Hospital Association regional policy board member. He previously served on the Oklahoma Hospital Association’s board of directors. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma and a master’s degree in business administration from Oklahoma State University.
